It is only legal for the friend to claim 2 of the kids if the kids actually lived with the friend and were supported by the friend. I suspect the reason the parents allow the friend to claim to the 2 kids is so the friend will qualify for the Earned Income Credit which is just another form of government handout, which is a once-a-year end-of-the-tax-year handout. You have to be low income to get the Earned Income Credit and if they're all on public assistance, they're probably all low income. A maximum of 2 children determine the amount of the Earned Income Credit (along with actual earned income) so it probably isn't hurting the parents one bit to allow someone else to claim 2 of their 5 kids. This is not legal unless like I said, the 2 kids actually live with and are supported by the friend. If they're all lying, hopefully they will get busted and there are severe penalties for those who lie to get the Earned Income Credit.

I really don't know if this is legal! He may be the father he may not be. They would have to take tests in order to prove it and no one can force them to do that. As long as they are not still having children and continuing to reproduce so that this over populated world has more less activated individuals in it I guess the only thing we can do is to try turning them in and letting people know what is going on. But if he is the father of the children he does have the right to claim them, even if he doesn't work and pay taxes. I know it's unfair to us who do.......we educated ones who paid to go to college to get degrees and earn money when these people sit on there butts and scam the system and do it all by not costing them a penny, in fact the government pays them to do it! No it isn't fair, but what can we do? Life isn't fair!

No, unless 2 of the kids actually live with the other person all year, it's not legal. It's illegal for the person who is claiming them, and for the parent who is letting them do it.

A lot of people break the law and file fraudulent tax returns. Eventually some of them get caught and punished. Some don't get caught.

No, this is NOT legal! It's tax fraud and is a "Go To Jail" item.

You can (and should) report tax fraud. Here's a link to the IRS website: http://www.irs.gov/compliance/enforcement/article/0,,id=106778,00.html

And the form you use: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f3949a.pdf

You may be entitled to a reward for reporting tax fraud.

Worthless c.un.ts that don't know anything better than putting sperm in their yang. They should have been born in the 1800s in a farm. Their life may have had purpose then.
