Very easy, when you go on a date, I think we all hope for the best right? But you can usually tell when the other person feels VERY comfortable with you and cuts the date short. At least thats how it is for me. I'm not as flirty :) Even then, your still scoping it all out.

If he takes you to a place to eat and pays for everything or he takes you to the movies and he pays or if you *&$#@%*&** and he pays for it, then you're on a date but only if he pays.
Oh yea, if you get married, he will never pay for anything and you'll never go on a date.
Of course, for the most part, this is a joke but if he should pay for everything he's being a gentelman and it's usually called a date.
