George Bush and his pals do not care how many troops are killed or maimed in IRAQ. They could care less about IRAQI women and children.

That is why the USA is a ROTTEN LOSER nation. Because they are ignorant enough and arrogant enough to think they are gonna win. LOSER..USA...LOSER USA

I don't know what steven h has been smoking, but the US troops are fighting an unnecessary war that was a resukt of US policy. The US wanted a war and illegally invaded another country. If this is not of your own making I don't know what is.

And majj... the 'suppression of a rebellion' is not going well, Bush wants more troops, and after 5 years, the resolution is no closer. In fact, I read that one groips analysis of the war predicts a full scale civil war with 100,000s being killed. All due to an illegal invasion to spread the empire

Is this meant to be a question?
George Bush has a personal interest in how many of his troops are dying in iraq- every one that dies lowers him in public esteem. The war veterans coming back maimed are even worse- they're stealing seats from under him.

He'll have less interest in Iraqi citizens, obviously- they're not gonna be voting for him (though not many people anywhere will, really) but the casualty figures there are mounting up and he might end up looking like an evil opressor (whether he is or not is open to opinion)

As to your last.. paragraph... I agree some Americans are quite ignorant and arrogant, but if you notice, they're not fighting a war, they're supressing a dying rebellion, quite effectively (as rebellion supressing goes..) so theres little hope of them 'losing' It may not be important, but i also think you're a little young to be on here - childishly calling a person a name might work in the playground, but it's a bit futile against a whole country.

Not too many people join the military with "Rambo" attitudes. Such individuals are more often than not complete failures as team players (either due to physical weakness or mental instability) and flushed out somewhere along the training and indoctrination process. Hardcore warrior types with the physical attributes to match more often gravitate towards outfits like the French Foreign Legion. As for those of us in the American military, we may have the right to vote in Presidetial elections, but we don't have the choice to just get up and walk away any time we want to because we don't like the results of an election. That "evil regime" in Washington was put in place by the American people, thank you very much. My oath of service wasn't "I will serve an Evil President"; it was "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States, against all Enemies, Foreign and Domestic". Try reading that and the Declaration of Independence sometime. As for "evil forces", if you haven't been there, you really don't know what you're talking about at all. American forces are so tied down by the Laws of Land Warfare that we don't do massacres on anywhere near parity with other militaries (Russian troops on Grozny, French troops in Rwanda), preferring in many, many instances to risk taking casualties or let the enemy escape rather than risk killing civilians. Whoever you have sympathy for is your business. It's simply not worth anyone to make it theirs, just because your little rant is so ill-informed and locked in the protest politics of the 60s (like you quoting the Vietnam war, which has been a non-issue since it ended over 30 years ago. Nice.) that there's no merit in it whatsoever. I'm quite certain that whatever "sympathy" you have is just there to make you feel good about yourself and you won't do a damn thing for any of those "Iraqis and Vietnamese" you so disingenuously support from a great distance. Really, you're not an uncommon sort; you villify what you do not understand, and have neither the courage of the vision to pursue the truth beyond a few soundbites. As long as you don't get in the way of real people trying to make a difference, you're harmless. Just don't expect any respect from any of us who actually give a damn.

Excuse me, but you have not been listening. Time and again people have been saying we support our troops. Even the marchers on Washington made it clear they supported our troops. They are in a quagmire they did not create but they are there slogging it out because that is their jobs. We all love them and pray for their safe return. On can support the troops without supporting the war or their commander-in-chief. If you are of such a narrow focus you can't see that I feel sorry for you as you miss out on so much the world has to offer. Good luck, my friend, and God Bless.

Shame on you. I hope you arent American. Each and every one of us should support our troops not matter what our opinion of the war. And by the way, the USA is the greatest democracy in the world and will always be a winner.

Like the American Commanding General said when asked to surrender Bastogne to the Nazi's in WW2, he replied; "NUTS!" (as in, "you are") I noticed even the Liberals and Dem's have set you straight on supporting the Troops. Good for them. I guess you think they stink too now huh? you are fast standing alone on your soap box. No one is listening to you. Now go lay down before you hurt yourself.

You are entitled to your opinion. If, however, you live in the USA, I suggest you live in another country for at least a year. You'll be begging to come back to this great nation.
