BUT makes me rethink my opinion as it is usually tagged on as an excuse. I would have got the job BUT...........
Then there is IF as in IF ONLY I had ....... used by people who need to move on.
Any swearing or racist words, sexually inappropriate comments or indeed anything hurtful and nasty to others can change my opinion of someone instantly and then there is poor use of language. So many people (especially young people these days) have a poor command of the English language e.g. I done that.
I love the use of traditional words like oxter and my favourite word in the Scots language is thole - so expressive!

How dare you!! You are not really Scottish, you are an imposter. Jobby is the best word ever and you should be proud of your heritage, shame on you.

Guess your not my best pal then. Oh jobby.

Any kind of slur towards a specific group:

N word being the most offensive to me
and "oriental" being the most obnoxious when referring to humans. I'm not freaking "oriental", I'm Asian! Oriental refers to inanimate objects like a rug!

Also, I used to own a hotdog stand and I had someone ask me for a "Pollak dog". I was so shocked I couldn't even respond for about thirty seconds. Then I banned him from my stand. :)

RACISM - I'm sick to the back teeth of it. All this because of Jade Goody, Danielle whatsherface and Jo whoisit. Even Shilpa said she felt it was a bridge of classes not racism.
I'm also fed up with any ism - feminism - ageism - and here is one that really gets my goat FATTISM!

I've gone off to Chunner, Chunner, Chunner!

Anything overtly sweet like 'sugar', 'sweetie' or 'cutie' used for an adult. They're fine for a little girl but I hate them for an adult or even an teenager, unless perhaps when you're really getting at it. People addressing eachother like that in public, get a room!

Styrofoam. I hate the word because it reminds me of the stuff. I get the shivers when I think of it. I hate the thought of touching it (especially with wet hands).
