That's not bad. Just see if you can
add some other light colors to break
it up. If you can, put in some gloss white...
paint the base boards and window and door
trim gloss white. Put in some white shelving.
paint the ceiling a different color. Put
in some indirect lighting along the
wall/ceiling corners. Paint the bedposts white.
Or just paint some wild white or yellow accents
on the blue walls. could be geometric designs,
animals, words, people...hAVE FUN.

Buy another gal. or so of paint, preferable white. Use plasting grocery bags. Wear a rubber glove, wad up the plastic grocery bag dip it into the paint, start blotting the walls. Work in a small area, before the paint dries use a damp cloth and smear the paint around. This should tone the room down. Accent with white curtains, white vases and flowers, and white throw pillows and rugs.

is the ceiling still white? you can do an accent wall in a lighter color or do a border in the middle of the wall vertically and paint the top half lighter. mirrors make rooms look bigger too. get some pictures for the walls and other bright accesories

Can you hang some brightly coloured, contrasting drapes or wall hangings. A bright colored bed spread and / or scatter rugs may help.
Even a change in lighting may do the job.
That colour blue can be very depressing, maybe the best way back is a new paint job.

leave one wall blue and paint the rest. She will sleep better!

If not - white picture frames for stuff in room. White trim. Cream is fine too. Light bedding, light wood. Brushed silver for any metals in the room.

Make sure that all her accessorries are light colored. Bedspread , curtains, decorative pillows etc. A new light fixture can make alot of difference for lighting.

hmm...mirrors could possibly make the room open up. (as in lining a wall with mirrors or something of the sort...)
