I hear that Switzerland has the most developed and organized travel system, but I cannot seem to figure out public transportation from the Zurich airport to Leysin. I would be open to a shuttle service or train or.. anything really. Help!

Well, it's quite easy, but will take you 3:39 hours at least with two or three changes of trains in Biel/Bienne (depending on the connection) plus Lausanne and Aigle.

Actually the express trains have a stop directly in Zurich airport!

Leysin has got a railway station...

take the train from Zurich Flughafen to Zurich HB (Hauptbahnhof). there, you will have all sorts of connections. typing in Zurich HB and Leysin at the connection engine at sbb.ch/en, you get multiple choices for Leysin. just choose the destination you want and hop on the train. you can always ask for help at the HB (they all speak english) if you need someone to give you the info in person.
