WMP 9 on Win XP?

Ok so I absolutely abhor WMP 10 and 11 so how can I install WMP 9 on Win XP? I've dug through the internet and found the version for XP but XP refuses to let install. Is there any way to force it to install anyway?

The reason I want WMP 9 is because one of the features I use (well used to use) no longer exists in 10 or 11.

why? 10 and 11 have more features and better security
