Vista lol you must be joking i had vista for a week and found nothing worked right, i even went out and got a memory upgrade new video/sound card and all the add-ons just to make my PC run that much better, "did it work" no ! so i've gone back to windows xp pro with the 2005 media center edition which i think is the best, until they fix Vista that is, i would'nt bother with vista just yet not until they fix all the bugs anyway. good luck i think you'll need it....

Don't upgrade to Vista. Stick with XP for now, it is much better. Vista will look good indeed, but that's all!... It will run much slower, will give you many errors, and additionally, you will have a hard time finding drivers and applications and games to work fine with it. We will have to wait for Vista to get ripe, to have at least Service Pack one released, before it becomes usable. Until then there will also be a broad offer of third party applications that WILL work good with it. So, save your time... even if you get your free 'upgrade', don't install it... it's a true DOWNGRADE.

I wouldn't do it!!! I recently installed Windows Vista in place of Windows XP that I was using & it whiped out all of my files that I had saved, most of my programs, and now I can't retrieve them. I am now having to find a way to go back to XP just so I can have all of my important files. Dell tech support couldn't even guarantee me that I would be able to retrieve any of my documents and files. If you just have games & stuff on yours you should be ok cause you can always download or install those again, but if your like me and keep everything important on your computer, DON'T DO IT

don't do it!! most programs aren't compatible w/ Vista--including Norton's Anti-Virus ans Internet Security. All told the upgrade is really a serious DOWNGRADE!!

I just got an email from ZDnet offering me one. What's so great about it? I don't know anything about Vista.
Here's a link to the page. You may have to register with them before you access it but it costs nothing.
