As an agnostic/atheist, should I support the Fundamentalist conquistadors fighting for the right of forcing their prayers across my children's home room speaker in order to help reduce Christian extremism in this nation?

Given that the separation of Church and State has actually helped to PROMOTE religious faith in this nation, why are so many of the ultra-right so eager to violate that separation?

But then there are crazy arab countries where the lack of separation does not seem to do much to promote less religion. So, NO

A question for you in return - Why would you, who is Christian support forcing relious belifs on children?
It seems as though most of these days, all the religious communities want to do is dominate the world by pushing their own set beliefs on everyone they can, much like governments are contoling their nations. If you really do believe in God and uphold the standards by which you live, wouldn't you feel inclined to let everyone, children included make up their own minds as to what they want to believe?
Pushing ideas on people will just lead to more hatred, more terrorist attacks and never-ending hatred of different cultures.

Yeah, I think it's weird that we have separation of church and state here, and yet religion is in the spotlight all the time. It seems like the "separation" actually promotes more religion (like you said). But it does seem like people want control and people will get crazy over it. I believe that people can choose what they want to believe and that we should have separation of church and state. Good question.
