Dear Mr. Limbaugh,
I am a soldier that was serving my second tour in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. May 7th of last year, my vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb; the explosion instantly severed both of my legs. I have been recovering and going through therapy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for almost 9-months.
Sir, I listen to your program everyday, I even try to schedule my therapy and appointments before noon, or after 1500 so I don't miss any of it. On behalf of my fellow soldiers, and myself, I would like to thank you for standing up, and bringing THE truth to Americans. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of the ideas that a! re America.
Once I completed my therapy, and am medically retired from the Army, I am returning to my hometown of Clinton, Missouri. I will be running for State Representative in 2008, and hope that I can begin to bring the ideas and the morals that founded this amazing country, back to our elected officials.
Thank you for your time again sir, and please continue the amazing job. America is counting on you to continue bringing the truth to her people.
Your fellow American,
Christopher Rutter
SGT, United States Army

What are we agreeing or disagreeing with? This is just this soldier's opinions and feelings concerning Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh does tend to err on the conservative side, so if you traditionally lean that way, then I guess you'd agree. But I'm all for whatever helps ease the loneliness and pain of our soldiers. If that happens to be Rush Limbaugh, then whatever. Our soldiers deserve so much more than what they get. May God bless them all.

At least a REAL veteran will be running. I am a liberal, to be honest with you, and I would probably vote more conservative, if there was not so many chicken hawks that were affraid to serve. You are a true hero as far as I am concerned.
I was a Medic with the Arkansas Army National Guard, in Taji, Iraq from March 2004 to March 2005. Even though I am against the war, I have volunteered to go back twice, but the National Guard has these stupid age requirements!
I too live in Missouri (Pineville).

I called my husband over to the computer to read your letter, we are both in tears, thankyou firstly. god bless you.
It takes a ton of courage to do what you have done, and there is not a day that will pass for the rest of my life that i will not remember your message. I think I heard about you, so i am thinking this is real not some prank....(what a jaded nation)...
It is a really good thing that you are at Walter Reed, it is a great place and I hope it serves you well.
I suggest you contact one more person, Don Imus, of Imus in the morning..his show starts at 6 am est and he is a big fan of Walter reed and has been there along with Mr. Mccain and others.
I hope the good folks in Clinton appreciate you and understand that you clearly are qualified to take on the task of leadership.
If you don't make it in politics...writing may be your forte,,,brilliant.
When you become president, Mr. Rutter, please keep all the goodness you have today...I have kids and if they could be in a great world with a great leader...I will die happy.
I might be able to dig up some $ for you in your quest for the rep ..my email is hahagain@yahoo.com..
Hang in there, legs are way over rated....god speed...thanks.

Well, the guy was inspired. What's wrong with that? I think it's good to see the working class getting their foot in the door, so to speak. Unfortunately, I believe one of the two major parties will snatch him up, and make the soldier into one of their political pawns, rather than truely allow him to be the citizen he is, with a voice of his own. I'm not a fan of the man who inspired him, but, who ever said I had to be? It's what makes America great!
