It seems the religion and spirituality section of Yahoo! answers is just a battle ground, everyone trying to prove each other wrong. All us Christians are attacking athiests and trying to make them look stupid, and all the athiests are trying to make Christians look stupid. Can't anybody realize that this isn't what Christianity is about? It's about a God who loves you. Christians aren't perfect or better people, they are just forgiven. So why do Christians online here try to make themselves look better than athiests?

Kahlen I know what you mean, Christians and Athiests alike are making themselves look stupid. That's why I am asking why people are doing that to make themselves look stupid. That's not what God calls us to do as Christians. I am sorry this site makes Christianity look stupid.

Yea mibandibee I understand that Christians should stand up for whats right I just don't see why some Christians on here make themselves seem like better people than athiests. I was kind of hoping someone that thinks pointing fingers on here solves anything would reply.

it makes me sad too, not only for what you mentioned, but for the visa versa as well, i'm tired of atheists getting a bad rep with christians for the things that they say...there's some stupid people out there
still, it doesn't make me sad enough not to come - it's still wayyyyy too enjoyable hahaha

Just defend the word of God when given the chance, when you are answering or questioning- do not point fingers, but just defend God's word- we should be! And share the truth in love with others, if it becomes a battlefield leave that question or start a question that will override that battlefield. But never give up sharing the truth with others- especially when someone asks on here.....Which is pretty much why its a battlefield- many do not like the answer they receive. But stand up for the truth!

I am not really a religion, but I think that everyone needs to focus on something different. People in general have a way of focusing on differences, and when you get two groups of people focused on differences, it causes WAR (We Are Right) and whoo haa, watch out. Again, if people would change their focus the world would be a happier place. Even if the focus was just changed to what I can do to make someone smile today, or what I can do to make myself smile, think about it...... Happy faces everywhere!! :)

Not all of us do. It may appear at times that both Atheists and the Christians you speak of have superiority complexes, but there are also many here from both perspectives who appreciate and respect the views of all contributors we just ignore those who can't express themselves intelligently.

Wade through the muck there are some really great points and caring contributors here as well.

You make a good point....it should not be a battle and, in truth, there is really no debate. There is no way to know who is right. There is no proof that there is a god, and there is not proof that there is not. I am an Atheist. That is just the way I believe. I do not expect others to think the same way I do. It is a choice everyone must make on there own and no christian telling me I am stupid is going to change my mind.

God is either known by his love or he is known by his judgments. If people react badly to Christians they are manifesting the very thing for which the judgment of God is coming down on the children of wrath. If we behave badly then we can expect to be chastened also, so it's a two-edged sword.

I try and answer questions here not to put people down but to help people who do not believe as I do, understand what my denomination is about. I do not like it when people attack other denominations. Asking an intelligent question makes conversation and understanding possible. All roads lead to God. Hopefully this category will help people on their journey.

point taken--I'm not trying to make anyone look stupid, really but some people do a good job of making themselves look that way.

I don't know. I'm kind of undecided about my religion, but seeing all the arguments it causes I'm not sure if I want to be part of any of them.
