Today I got this craving for garlic and buttered pasta. So my mom told me I should sautee some garlic and put them on the pasta, but she never told me how to sautee them (I don't know if I spelled it correctly)

with a low heat, use olive oil and minced garlic. cook til it starts to brown slightly. stirring constantly.
If you let it go on a higher heat, it will burn and ruin the dish.
Olive oil has a higher heat tolerance than butter, which burns every easily, UNLESS you wanted a browned butter sauce. haha

Cut up the garlic into little pieces then put it in a pan with about 2 Tbsp of butter. Cook it on med high for a few minutes until it bubbles and looks clearer. It should be squooshy and soft when done.

all sautee means is to cook over low heat in something, such as oil or butter, so get some butter and put it in a frying pan then add the garlic, flip and stir it a lot til it looks done enough for you. (browned)

All of the above answers are correct. The best example was in the movie, "Goodfellas". The character would heat olive oil in a pan and use a razor blade to slice a glove of garlic so thin you could read through it. Add to the heated oil and let it "melt".

Saute. Just toss some garlic in a pan over high heat with a little olive oil or butter and stir them around for a few minutes. Very simple yet quite tasty, Bon Apetite!
