What if I just want to decompose like every other living creature on Earth (which is what Christians apparently are not satisfied with)? What if my current life is like "heaven" itself?

Is it wrong to believe in the Circle of Life?

Sorry, dude. You don't have a choice. Like it or not, your soul is eternal and will never cease to exist. Next thing is ... all other living things (plants, animals, etc.) also have eternal life. You'll get used to it after a few million lives. heh

God wants for us to have everything we desire as long as is it win line with the will he wants for our lives Everything you have is from God. God made everything and gave people the thoughts to make everything. Without him you would have nothing. The bible says that every good and perfect gift is from above. It really doesn't matter what you want, because truth is truth. You can't say well,"I am going to jump off of a building and I am going to live because i want to." Physically you most likely will die. Truth is truth No matter how much you don't like it.Do you even know how you would decompose into and animal. If God wanted to make you an animal he would have , but he chose you to be born to serve and love him. Now if you choose not to then there will be consequences in the end. Do you know what is outside of eternal life , DEATH. Forever in eternity of burning and loneliness and forever apart from the on being who can help you, Jesus. Read the book if revelations and really think about what it means. It may seem Dumb to you, but take into consideration that it just may happen and when it does it's to late for you. There is a heaven and hell.. it's up to you to choose where you want to go. HEAVEN or HELL. God loves you and doesn't want you to experience all that pain and suffering. Why not just research it. No one knows exactly what eternal life is. I know that the bible speaks of it as something wonderful and life everlasting but only God knows for sure. Why can't Eternal life be the circle of life. Some people believe that you are reborn. Each time you are reborn you get a chance to improve on your last life and each time you improve in one life the next life is better until you reach your final eternal life which will be in Gods house for eternity. Just a thought! Remeber the Bible was written by Jesus deciples and as with any book it is open for each individual to interpret it, however I do believe that if you open your heart as you read it God will have a hand in house it is interpreted.

It's not wrong at all to believe in the Circle of Life, or whatever you want. We are all free to do as we will. That is the great thing about what Christians believe. However, as to the eternal life thing, if it happens to be that God does exist, then I think you'll be stuck living for eternity. You can only hope that He doesn't. This doesn't mean that you won't still have the opportunity or choice to walk away from God at that point, but you will then have to live with the consequences, whatever they may be. I respect all peoples choices no matter what they are and hope they respect me and mine. I'm glad that you have found happiness in this life and feel it is like "heaven", because I think you're in the minority (especially considering some of the crazy places and things going on in the world today). Take care.

I'm a Christian and I'm satisfied with what you're saying. After you die you decompse and that's all.

The Bible states: "Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life." (Genesis 2:7) Though breathing sustained his life, putting "the breath of life" into his nostrils involved much more than simply blowing air into his lungs. It meant that God put into Adam's lifeless body the spark of life—"the force of life," which is active in all earthly creatures.

When the first man, Adam, deliberately disobeyed God's command, He said to him: "In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return." (Genesis 3:19) Where was Adam before Jehovah created him from the dust? Why, he was nowhere! He simply did not exist. So when Jehovah God said that Adam would "return to the ground," he meant that Adam would die and return to the elements in the ground. Adam would not cross over to the spirit realm. At death Adam would once again be nonexistent. His punishment was death—absence of life—not a transfer to another realm.—Romans 6:23.

What about others who have died? The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where we read: "The dead know nothing . . . There is no pursuit, no plan, no knowledge or intelligence, within the grave." (Moffatt) Death, therefore, is a state of nonexistence. The psalmist wrote that when a person dies, "his spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish."—Psalm 146:4.

Clearly, the dead do not exist. They cannot know anything. They cannot see you, hear you, or talk to you. They can neither help you nor harm you. You certainly need not fear the dead.

You haven't been listening too well then, have you? You will decompose after you die. It is only your spirit that will leave this earth. To not want to spend eternity n heaven must feel really fatal. I can't imagine not kn wing where my parents are since they are both dead and picturing them just plain old rotten is not even something I care to think about. The values that are taught in the Bible are the best ways to live life and truly find inner peace. But if you don't want it, you don't want it. That is a choice God intended us all to make for ourselves, but please don't pollute others with sickness and evil actions. You can still be "good" and kind without God n your heart. This world won't be here forever though. And when time is truly up, it is UP for good. His words in the Bible tell that not all will enter His kingdom. Make your choice brother! Live life as best you can without God in it. Sow your seeds where you like. In the end we all will know just who all us crazy Christians are, won't we? REPENT!!!!!!!

You and I must be operating on the same wavelength today. This is what I posted earlier today to a different question:

What's ridiculous, as far as I'm concerned, is the lack of comprehension that some people don't WANT to come to the "Father"; that there ARE other options than their "heaven" or fiery torment for eternity (which is a misunderstanding of what the OT says about "hell" - Sheol or Gehenna - anyway)

It's like being at an airport and being told "There's no way to Atlanta except through Atlanta Airlines!". Which is all well and good if that's what you want to do - go to Atlanta.

When you say, though "Thanks, but I don't want to go to Atlanta, I'm going to Denver" they'll tell you that that isn't an option. In dire and hushed tones they will warn you that if you don't get on the Atlanta Airlines plane, you'll wind up in Pittsburgh.

"Er, no. I've got a ticket to Denver."

"You're deluding yourself, and even if you don't realize it, you're bound for Pittsburgh, and you don't want to go there. It's horrible"

"Gotcha. Listen, could you just let go of my sleeve and let me get to the gate where I'm going to catch the flight for Denver?"

"There is no such gate. There is no such flight. Sure, they may SAY that they'll take you to Denver, but you're really dooming yourself to going to Pittsburgh. You only have those two options - Atlanta or Pittsburgh. Look around you - there's only Atlanta or Pittsburgh"

"Uh, that's only for this terminal. There are other terminals with flights to other places."

"NO, No, there aren't! Don't go through that door! You'll wind up in Pittsburgh!!!"

****
And as you land in Denver you shake your head, wondering how those folks can simply deny that there are flights to everywhere else in the world....

Don't confuse body with spirit. The body Will perish, the spirit does Not. If you don't want eternal Life, you Will have eternal Death.
The circle of life is not reincarnation, merely the notion that life as we know it is perpetuated by death and birth.

Then do not seek God, do not ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, walk after the flesh, then die and get it over with. You will get an alternate eternity. Circle of life? Life is not a Lion King movie, and you aren't Elton John.

Well that is your choice. But eveyone has an eternal destiny. Heaven or Hell. Why not be blessed in the presence of God rather than burning in the eternal lake of fire! Pack the sun tan lotion and prepare to burn!

cYou will most definitely decompose as once death has occurred the decomposition starts and you cant stop that.

if your current life is like heaven then be grateful to God and thank Him.

if you don't want to believe in heaven or hell then that is fine with everyone else....as long as that is your own informed choice.

enjoy
