There is a rule in the Catholic church that a religious can only transfer to a different religious order if he or she is going to a MORE strict order than his/her previous one. Can anyone give me a list of these religious orders -- from the most strict to the lesser ones? Thank you!

If ever there is a man made rule to keep you sheep like..!!
Yes they play with names of orders and their strictness e.g. the simple clergy, then the Capuchins and Jesuits, then orders like Benedictines, Norbertines and Trapists and the strictest of all the Carthusians who live like hermits but in community. This is only a feeble selection...

Don't jump through hoops for anybody.

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Christ has set us free from the bondage of sin.
Perfection is full age or maturity in His Word.
