Sometimes if you lie on your side so the blocked side is upwards, the blockage will migrate towards the other side. When both sides are equally blocked/unblocked, sit up.I know it sounds silly, but it often works that way.
Use a spray decongestant. The work like a charm, but don't use them for more than the label suggests - maybe three days or something.
Take a nasal decongestant in pill form.

Blow your nose A LOT! It can take a while, but it should work. And also take some nasal decongestants (Sudafed is a good brand) which will make your nose less stuffy.

Blocked nasal passages common with a cold.
If you lie on one side, the fluid (snot- eww) in your sinuses drops due to gravity, blocking one nostril.
Try lying on the other side. Be prepared for a "dripping" sensation as the fluid in the sinuses drains from one side to the other.

i can relate. i went through a whols box of tissues yesterday... yummy, i know. but definately go for sudafed or something like it.
