I printed my federal and State returns looking for the EIN number but does not appear anywhere, but I know I entered (wrong) in the W2 information. So then, how can I corrected or it does not matter because that info will not appear in the form 1040?. However IRS will validate my info through my SSN and the company who is paying me.

You'll have to file an amended return on Form 1040X. Attach copies of the W2 forms to it and inlcude a note expaining that you e-filed using the wrong employer EIN.

Being wrong is often a learning experience (or it should be). Generally, you can learn more by being wrong than you can be from being right. Strange how most religions seem to think that life is not a learning experience and that some form of eternal existence is the "price" for being right or wrong.

OPPS - file an amended return.

They will contact you if you don't contact them first.
