How Do I Change The Exposure/Apiture On Canon Eos Rebel K2?

I'm in a highschool photography class and im not sure how to change those settings.If can help me please tell

Assuming you are in the Manual "M" mode:
- For shutter speed adjust: use the dial to increase or decrease
- For aperture adjusting: while holding down the "AV+/-" button, turn the same dial that you used for shutter speed adjusting.
