My guys friend knows I go running every morning. I was wearing capris and a tanktop to school, b/c I had lax training first thing(which is running) Well it is like -9 degrees outside, and we had a fire drill. He came up to me and put his arms around me, to supposedly keep me warm.
Was it just an excuse to touch me or a genuine reason??

I would say that he likes you. Most guy friends wouldn't come into intimate contact unless they possibly liked you. Otherwise, if you were just friends it would be an uncomfortable situation because of the mixed signals. He could possibly have just been trying to keep you warm... you were wearing a tank top... but there's also a good possibility that he might have feelings for you.

You sensed that it was that it was an excuse to touch you and you're probably right. Too many guys have difficulty expressing their feelings. He probably has a crush on you and that was his way of letting you know. However, he's put you in an uncomfortable situation as he is your boyfriend's buddy. You should bring it up casually, "So, any girls in your life?" etc. And then talk about how committed you are to your boyfriend and that you hope he finds someone that's right for him.
The reason you sensed it was an excuse is because you picked up on his loneliness/neediness. Talk to him about getting a girlfriend, maybe you'll be a big help to him. Otherwise, just remove his hand when he touches you.

if he is your good friend and has never given you a reason to think he likes you then he was just being nice but if not he loves you

Probably both. If you were all sweaty and he still went up and hugged you, he probably just wanted to touch you.

are you mad or just confused about it if your mad then keep your distance but if you are confused about it then you like him in some way because it is obvious he likes you
