At dusk, they fly out of where they slept for the day and fly around catching and eating insects until morning, when they return to where they came from and go back to sleep.

Depends on the species. Some microbats spend their days in caves while other sleep under the bark of trees, or even in houses if they can find access. Larger species like Flying Foxes spend the day hanging in trees with their colony which can have many hundred individuals.
