Is MARTA a good rail system? Do a lot of people use it? Is it fast and convenient for people? I was just wondering how it compares to other heavy rail systems in the US like SF or DC.

Yah, I believe MARTA is a good rail system. Their prices are that expensive and its pretty fast and convenient. I enjoy traveling on it.

As far as coverage goes, I think MARTA as a rail system does not compare to DC or NY. Picture a large circle with a smaller plus sign in the middle of it. The circle represents the Atlanta area, and the plus sign represents MARTA.
FYI the traffic in ATL is horrible.

MARTA is really convenient, especially with a MARTA Card. It's somewhere in the $50 range per month, but that is all access. You can't get a month's worth of gas with $50. If you are a student at GSU, you even get a discount on that, $26/month. Extra cool.

MARTA is OK. It would be a better system if our chintzy governor and state representative would give it some state funds so they could expand the rail system - and keep the darn trains and tracks in working order!
For travel within the city, especially its heart, the train is great; the bus service is decent, and most everything is clean.

MARTA can be convenient for people, but things like fights occur on MARTA a lot.

Its one of the most clean rail systems i seen besides D.C.

It can be pretty good its $1.75 per trip and people usually use it during the day but rarely at night unless there is an major sporting even.

i use it all the time of course my brother come with me though but yeah its pretty good
