Get there early. Take a grill, chairs, cooler full of fav beverage. radio. Tailgate, have fun. enjoy race. It will be loud, and dirty. But that is the best part. LOL

BUT, be prepared to sit and wait for a while after race is over.
Set up the formentioned grill, chairs, pop open that cooler and chill. It cracks me up every year after the race here at KY speedway how everyone tries to leave at the same time and gets nowhere.

I have gone every year since I met my wife.

Since the races have gone to night races, it can get a little chilly. I'd highly recommend taking a light windbreaker along. If you have pants that will "unzip" into shorts as well, that would be a bonus (as someone mentioned, last year got chilly..I would have killed for pants with removable legs as it was warm during the day).

If you are sitting in the bleachers, bring a seat cushion. Sitting on metal is tough. Even with a seat cushion, my butt hurts by the end of the race (despite the fact the bleachers are actually quite roomy).

Beer is kind of spendy, about $6.00 a 16 oz plastic bottle if I remember right. Plastic bottles of soda will run you about $3.00.

They have a bunch of semi trailers that sell souvenirs from various drivers. A T-shirt there will put you back another $25.

Besides your ticket, I'd expect to spend $50.00 a person or so. I'd bring more as you never know what will pop-up (last year, Gilbert Brown was selling autographs for $20 each....didn't have any money left though).

Personally, I enjoy the truck race much more. There aren't as many people in the stands or walking out by the trailers. They day of the Busch race, the souvenir area is packed.

If you are a die-hard fan, the drivers are usually signing autographs on Friday and Saturday (mostly on Friday). They tend to sign in the early mornings, so if you are interested, you have to show up early.

Surprisingly, the Truck/Busch race at the Mile is one of the most “friendly” events I have been too. At other tracks, fans seem to be obnoxious and really take away from the race (though nothing tops the soccer game I went to in Germany once). Despite the numerous drunks, people are pretty cool. It is tame enough that I brought my 2 year old daughter to the truck race last year (there are no lap children though…everyone needs a ticket)

Parking isn’t a problem. Since they cut down on the parking area at the fair grounds, parking close to the track fills up quickly. I have always parked on the street (off of Greenfield Ave is it? Sorry, I’m a FIB now..haven’t lived in Milwaukee in 10 years) on one of the 70’s streets. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the track, but it is easier to leave at the end and it is free.

If you have the money, a scanner is kind of cool to have so you can listen to the teams (my bro-in-law always downloaded the frequencies from the internet somewhere..not sure where though). You can rent these at the track if you really want, but I am not sure what they cost. If your ears are sensative, bring ear plugs or you can buy them for $1 at most places.

It is an enjoyable event. I have always had a blast. I think you will to. As people have mentioned, CHECK THE WEATHER!!! Dress appropriately, but don’t over pack. Save yourself a bundle and eat at McDonalds across the street before the race. If you need asprin, Tylenol, Pepto, or Sun screen, there is a Walgreens nearby (right next the the McDonalds I think)

I went to Busch series race on the Milwaukee Mile. that is surprisingly cool. that is not any longer as enormous of a song as maximum venues. so which you have 80,000 human beings like that one guy suggested. Parking interior the infield is cool even though it's going to take you continuously to get out so i do no longer advise it. that is an all day occasion, so look some hours until now the race and walk around the State honest grounds. they have all kinds of cubicles and entertainment. The race is generally at evening in Milwaukee so that is not any longer as warm. you would be wanting an excellent time.

The Busch race at Milwaukee is awesome!!! Check forecast before you go. Its normally great weather but still Wisconsin. It used to be better before they got rid of the old covered stands.
