If you have income from self-employment or from a business that you own, $400. If not and you're single and a dependent, then $5150. If you're single but not a dependent, $8450. If you're married filing a joint return, $16,900 total for the two of you. Married filing separately, $3300.

If you're 65 or over, most of these numbers would be a little higher than I listed.

This is federal - it doesn't matter what state you live in.
