My fiance & I are getting married in March and we're still trying to decide what song we want to dance to. We're both music lovers & like all kinds. I'm open to hearing any suggestions, traditional or not. :)

I love "When I Fall in Love" sung by Nat King Cole, but I also like, "You´re Just to Good to Be True" The rest of the lyrics say, "Can´t Take My Eyes Off of You" I do not know who sings it, but it is a woman.

Best wishes on your marriage!

Wait, it is sung by Frankie Vali

You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

Pardon the way that I stare.
There's nothing else to compare.
The sight of you leaves me weak.
There are no words left to speak,
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it's real.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

I love you, baby,
And if it's quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don't bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay
And let me love you, baby.
Let me love you.

You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

I love you, baby,
And if it's quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don't bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay..

Hand's down the best song to do your first dance to is "Forever Mine" by the O'Jays...... That for sure will be the first song I dance to at my wedding.... You have to trust me on this. I tried to find a link so you can read the words to the song but I didn't have any luck. Just see if you can find it on a music page just so you can listen to it. I'm sure that whatever song you do choose will be perfect for the both of you. Congratulations & I hope you too live a long & happy life together.......

Well . . .

My suggestions are probably not going to be as traditional, as they have meaning to me & my husband.

"By My side" Lorrie Morgan (but that's a country song)
"You Look Wonderful Tonight" Eric Clapton

The first one was the first song that hubby & I ever danced to. The second one was playing when he asked me to marry him.

Those were the days . . .

"I Cross My Heart" by George Strait and
"I Swear" by John Michael Montgomery

I love both of these songs. We are dancing to the George Strait one.

Oh yeah and another pretty song is "When God Made You" by Newsong w/ Natalie Grant. We are having this song sang during the ceremony. Good Luck! and Congratulations!

You could try french songs, they always sound romantic. If you and your fiance are Top Gun fans, then you could try "Take My Breath Away". Something from Celine Dion works too. What I would suggest is that you Google "Love Songs'' and see what appeals to you the most.

May I Have This Dance (for the rest of my life) - Anne Murray. A waltz and very appropriate. Country, but not overly so and good to dance to.

That's a hard one! Maybe Adam Sandler's "I wanna grow old with you" if you want to be cute. Or "More" by Harry Connick Jr. if you want traditional. I love both of those songs!
