my hair is about 2 inches below shoulder length and i was going to have it cut shorter but first i was wondering wha other ppl think. do you prefare long or short hair??

You can do more with long hair if your willing to take care of it. You could always cut a little at a time, they can always go shorter. When I make a drastic change in my hair I have her cut off a few inches let me look at it then decide if I want it shorter or to leave it. It will always grow back though so even if it's a little too short it will be fine in a few weeks.

dont cut it any shorter than 2" above your shoulders
but why dont you get layers cut into your hair and try to keep the length that you have at present

Long hair is always pretty and feminine. I think that if you do something really drastic, then you might regret it.
