This idea of a Second coming is a misunderstanding of scripture.

Jesus has no intention of returning as a living human. He already did that.

This time Jesus is returning in the hearts of those who have accepted his message and try to live their lives to emulate his teachings. Few actually do this. It requires a radically different interpretation of love from the one understood by most so-called believers. Most people see love as something that you keep in reserve only for those you have judged worthy of it.

This is not love at all. This is only judgment. Judgment is the exact opposite of what Jesus was teaching. Remember judge not lest ye be judged. Jesus asks us to love our neighbor. Notice that there is no accept for in this statement. Every one is intended to be included in this love Jesus ask us to have for our fellow man. This type of universal application of love requires no judgment on our part because Jesus’' intent was that no one be left out of it.

This is a difficult pill to swallow for any religion that thinks of it's self as being the one true and only correct way to God. This idea of exclusivity is the exact opposite of the message of inclusively that Jesus gave us.

Attaining the goals that Jesus set for us may be difficult within the constraints most religions impose. This is why many who seriously try to emulate the true teachings of Jesus in their lives do not ascribe to any particular religious following. They follow the truth in their hearts where Jesus has taken up residence.

Love and blessings.

how many people believed christ would come in 2000, june 6, 2006, or millions of other times in history. Christians think the apocalypes will happen all at once, like the world will just end. The truth is, the apocolype is slowly happening now with all the global climate change, violence, and carelessness of the human race.

It is a possibility. Every day since the resurrection is a day closer. As to Don H. wrong! Jesus will come will a shout of the archangel and we shall go to meet him in the air (read II Thessalonians 4) So many try to erase the second physical coming but they are totally ignoring scripture. As John said in Revelation: come quickly Lord Jesus = so that that point in time he had not returned as of yet. Peter talks about the "blessed hope" which is the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to set up his kingdom on earth.

Actually he was going to be on his way, but they rejected his work visa. Hence turned back at the boarder and that just sucks for him.
And to quote another poster "count me out". What is it about Christians and always wanting the "end of the world" to happen. If that is the case, there are a lot of really tall cliffs where I live that you all can just jump off. And do not think of it that you are killing yourself, it actually is the sudden stop that kills you (the ground in fact), so God can not blame you at all. And if he really was a friend, he would miracle you to fly.

You're probably asking that question because of the number 13 0n the end huh? Scripture tells us that no one knows the time, the day nor the hour that Jesus will return. It also says, not even the angels in heaven knows the time. If we would know the exact time then I guess we would try to prepare ourselves at the last minute for his coming wouldn't we! We can't predict his coming but we can seek his face now.

Are you talking about President Brownbacker's inauguration in January 2013?

does it really matter?

believer or not you just gotta know He's on His way over. did you know that even Christ himself doesn't know when He's coming. One day He's just gonna get a cue (cue, not clue) and come here, but first there is the Rapture, then the Seven Years of Tribulation, then He will come for his 1000 year reign.

peace

No on knows the time of His second coming, not even Christ. Only the Father.

Everyone tries to predict and guess but no one has ever been correct to date.
