i drank 3 beers wednesday night, starting @ around 7, ending around 9. today is friday and i had to take a preemployment alcohol/drug test today @ 10:30 am. will those 3 beersmake my test result positive? will they test for the amount of alcohol if it does come back positive so i can provew i just had a couple and i'm not a drunk? i'm really worried b/c i need this job. i didn't know they did the alcohol test, just the drug part or else i wouldn't have even had those 3 beers! please someone answer me so i can put my mind at ease!!!!!!

it takes 72 hours for your body to be completly free of alcohol but with that little bit i figgure you are safe may be a very small trace but nothing major

I'm sure it's fine. As long as your blood alcohol level wasn't high at the time of the test (ie. you'd been drinking at 7AM) I don't know how they could care. It's not illegal to have a few beers in the evening. As long as you are not intoxicated at work it should be an issue. Drugs on the other hand are illegal, so they can use any amount of "positive" on a test as grounds for not hiring (or firing) you. But with alcohol, I think it's just to make sure you're not constantly intoxicated (sadly, some people DO have a beer for breakfast).

no not unless the beers had a really high volume of alcohol level
from the point you stop drink it usually take 20 min for the liver to start processing the toxins in the blood and and for every hour after that u should usually lose 1 unit per hour this is not exact science but its about right it depends on your size how much you ate before during and after you were drinking

If it was only three and you drank on Wednesday night you should be fine. Alcohol gets out of the system pretty quickly.

All they're looking for is to make sure you're not showing up drunk. They probably had a few drinks on the evenings as well. You're completely fine.

no i don't think so just eat and drink a lot. well not alcohol like coffee or soda or juice maybe eat something like garlic bread and or chocolate
