Once upon a time, back in the day, a girl bought me a nice gift: a large model of the Millenium Falcon. Very pricey, very nice. There was just one problem -- I was not, and had never been, a Star Wars fan. Not even a little. After years of dating, she had somehow gotten it into her head that I would like such a thing.

Let me tell you, it was the worst gift I had ever received. Not because it wasn't expensive enough, or anything like that -- simply because it made me realize how little she knew me. I accepted it graciously, of course, but it broke my heart to think that after all that time she had no idea who I was, or at least what my interests were.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about the cost; I would worry about what he likes. In fact, this is a golden opportunity for you to buy a gift that falls into the category of "things he likes, but that he knows I don't like." You hate his cigar smoking? Buy him a cigar. You hate his video gaming? Buy him the video game he wants. You hate that he wears button-down shirts? Buy him a button-down shirt you find somewhat flattering.

The key here is that he knows you don't like his interest in that thing; that way, you're sending him the message "I don't always share your interests, but I fully support them anyway, because I love you." That, more than anything else, is the kind of gift a guy likes to receive -- it means you love him for who he is, not for who you want him to be.

I think getting tickets for the two of you to something he likes (ie: sports events, concerts, etc). Then you can spend the day together. You can drive him, instead of the other way around (if your old enough). If you have extra money you could buy him lunch/dinner or make him a meal or even have a picnic.

Im guessing sex is out of the question. I would just go ice skating or something that involves just you two. Hang out the whole day together

I won't supply them to them. If he says he needs a smash from the courting and you nonetheless get him a present day, he might think of you're nonetheless attempting to hold to him and sense suffocated. enable him bypass now, and he could nonetheless come back whilst he sees you're doing superb without him. have confidence me in this one--in relationships, our fee is going up the fewer we seem to desire the different individual.
