Where can I get sheet music of TAPS for the trumpet? For free?

If you know the basic tune here how. Finger and play a low D (1 and 3). Keep those valves down and play the notes and rhythms, no need to change valves. It's called using false fingerings and theoritically turns the trumpet into a bugle. How that for free.

For Bb trumpet, when you transpose (change from key of Bb to C), just raise the note on the staff one whole step.

Otherwise, try to figure it out by ear if you're not looking for something like a solo. DDG, DGA

It depends on what level of music you are looking for.

try the Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge site - I know it's in the Bugler Merit Badge, and I know you can download some of the music from the handbook for the badge
