I thought you did believe, and really hate the anti-god stuff, yet your questions seems to be trying to adress atheists. If you believe, why do you care so much? Is it a justification? I honestly don't get it., and am not trying to disrespect. What do you need to prove?

This is for the morons that took this seriously, and tried to get defensive.

I think both sides do this. So, I would address it to both sides.

I think it's the same pull for both. Sometimes it's to make the other side think. Other times it's because they just can't grasp that someone believes something that they can't/don't. Either way, both have been asking the same questions over and over. Everyone seems to think their questions are new and will strike a chord with someone.

I am not sure, but I assume that they are not trying to "prove" anything, any more than the atheists are trying to "prove" something by asking a lot of Biblical questions.

Most people seem to ask questions for one of two main reasons: (1) genuine curiosity as to why other people think or believe what they do; or (2) genuine concern that other people might be making a poor life choice and thus wasting their life (and their afterlife) by following a lie.

Plus, Christians have the additional concern that Jesus commanded his followers to spread the word to all the world, so Christians have a standing command to see to it that everyone has heard the gospel at least once, and to clear up any misconceptions that people might have about Jesus. For a Christian to fail to spread the gospel is a sin of omission.

So, what do atheists have to prove by asking so many questions of Christians?

The same can be asked of some non believers. Some ask moronic questions just to bait others. It works both ways. There's not a whole lot of respect for differing beliefs on here. It's mostly just a way for some desperate people to get attention by trolling. Seriously.

Oh, and your user name. Hilarity! lol

True believers in Christ believe that God has called us to tell as many people as we can about the Good News that we know. If people on here seem to address atheists, they might just be seeking answers on how those people could truly not believe in God. I think most of them really are trying to do good, but some probably come off as trying to prove themselves or as rude and angry.

we dont need to prove anything to ourselves. It is because we believe that we do care. One of the "jobs" as a christian is to spread the "Good News" of the bible. That Jesus saved us from our sins. and that whomever believes in him shall not die but live forever in heaven.

We just hope to get threw to some people, even though we know the job is tough. Its not an impossibiity for an atheist to become christian.

As an unemployed, disabled flake, I've little else to do with my long days but "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences" (2 Corinthians 5:11).
That's all I'm doing. If you are unpersuaded, well, I'm not very good at it, really. But I might as well try, ya know?

*They like to argue. That is one reason I do not allow email, because they know where I stand, but email me me against my will after I tell them not to, but they then ask me if i am afraid of debate. Debate is another fancy word for argue. The bible says not to be arguementive, but they sure are. they like to try and make people mad in the name of God. If I allowed email some arguementive Christian would email me me wanting to confront me on what I just said. *

I care b/c we are not suppose to walk this path alone; God didn't put us here by ourself; understanding comes from discussing; you can't ever shake my belief but it is hard for me to understand that so many people walk in life without that spark, that hope that promise; no life after death is an empty way to live; I have had blessed to have God with me; it is just hard to understand why people would rather walk alone in life. It isn't just about me.

They need to prove to themselves that your deity actually exists..When you use that thing called your brain you can see that your religion is false belief, and that everything that is Christian or Islamic was in FACT stolen from pagan beliefs. The truth of the matter is your belief system is simply untrue.
