I've been getting full on migrains very frequently in the past few weeks.

They usually come with all the light sensitivity and such, but also total lack of energy. So, I got my blood pressure tested while I was having pain and found my blood pressure low.

My question - Is the low blood pressure causing the headachs or is it more a side affect?

Yes, I wear glasses, but only for far distances and was told by my optomitrist not to wear them all the time.

I don't drink the 8 8oz glasses of water everyone says is the MUST drink, but I do try to drink more when I have a head ach, knowing that dehydration can cause headachs. Sometimes it helps, most of the time it makes me feel worse.

Migraines have nothing to do with blood pressure
As far as blood pressure goes, Within reason, low blood pressure is better than high blood pressure..If you are worried, ask you doctor if he thinks your blood pressure is a problem.
Mine is 88/60 and my Dr. is happy with it

I know high blood pressure can cause headaches but I don't think low blood pressure will. Do you wear glasses? It could also be tension headaches and light sensitivity can also cause headaches. Hope you find out what the problem is!

Are you properly hydrated? You could also have a low level of cerebrospinal fluid, CSF. Low CSF levels can actually make the brain drop a little bit within the skull, which pulls on the dura and can cause migraine like headaches. Not being hydrated enough can lead to lowered CSF levels.

It could be anxiety. Anxiety/stress can cause a lot of things, even things that can make you believe you are seriously ill. If you are very worried about it, go to a different doctor or the same doctor and get some more thorough tests.
