Not everyone views sex outside marriage the same way. That is imposing legal penalties for personal/relationship/sexual choices. Really, it's no business of the government when two consenting adults have sex with one another. I don't see society benefitting from this much anyway. Those that cheat, will cheat regardless. This may even make it more dangerous and even more of a taboo, making it even more sexually exciting for some to do. I can see this law as potentially making some divorces more ugly.

Most states already have laws against adultery. They're just never enforced anymore, since enforcement isn't practical or consistent: nearly all violators never get caught.
Most adulterers are Christians (or claim to be). Oh, you mean making it illegal for people who were never married to have sex? Like gays? A little backdoor discrimination (if you'll pardon the expression)? Not gonna happen.

Most jurisdictions in the U.S. already have laws like that (like Virginia, for example). These laws are usually not enforced unless someone has committed some other type of crime (like trespassing in order to have sex in a park, for example), or it comes up in a divorce proceeding as grounds for divorce or determining who get custody of the children.

Legislating morality doesn’t work and we know from the failed prohibition experiment. Teaching the importance of morality is a function of the Church not the state. However, laws to require that people (dead beat dads listen) live up to their obligations when children are trapped by this immorality is reasonable and necessary.

There are christians who have sex outside of marriage. I think christianity is lifestyle you have to live it isn't a world governed thing though it can be. If you love God you shouldn't need to do that and if you did you can just repent and ask for forgiveness sincerely.

Their time would be (much) better spent in prayer and ministry and witnessing to produce a people with the Holy Spirit who don't need such a law.

As Christians we are supposed to be Christ like. Look in your Bible to see what God says about it! Why should we look to pp when God tells us the Truth?

It is a Christian law and I think that should be enough. Society has a way of perverting things.

That wouldn't go down very well over here. Anyway how on earth would they be able to stop people doing that? They would have to watch everybody 24/7. They would have to tag everybody and monitor their homes.
