I think he has cracked my jaw bone because it is jagged round the socket bit on the side where the tongue is, just under the gum. will the bone grow back? I can feel it with my tongue.
Some splinter bits have already come out.

Sometimes you get small bits of bone break around the tooth during the extraction. The sharp edges you feel will get rounded out by your own body over time. If they really bother you, you could ask the dentist to refreeze you and smooth out the rough spots with a bone file........oops, my boss hates that term......a smoother. Not to worry, it is common.

That isn't your jaw bone that is cracked - if it was, believe me the pain would be unbelieveable. Go back to the dentist. If it is jagged around the socket, there may still be piece of the molar left. Have it looked at.

It's normal. And it's not jawbone. Nothing you'll miss anyway. I had the same thing happen a few monthes ago. It took about three or four weeks to let it all work itself out. I also got impatient and tried to pick peices out because they bothered me. Just let them come out on there own best you can.

And eat another pill.
