It was recently on the news tonight that about 200 scientists gathered and came to the conclusion that global warming is caused by humans.
Im not being funny but you dont need 2 be Einstein to figure that one out.
How much money was wasted to come to this conclusion, i would like to know?
If you have ne views on this put in an answer.

I completely agree with you. It's absurd that they have only just come to this conclusion. It has been so obvious for years now that global warming is down to humans. I also hate the way so-called 'A-Listers' are suddenly getting involved in Environmental groups and projects, as if it's a trendy thing to do. Helping the environment is a necessity, not a fashion trend.
As far as blaming global warming on 'natural causes'... are these scientists stupid or what?! Just look at the number of cars on the roads, or the amount of electricity wasted in the home every day, or the amount of pollution being belted into the air. You're absolutely right, it doesn't take a genius to work out that humans are to blame. It's a shame it has taken this long for people to become aware of the problem of global warming.

Maybe you and I don't need to be Einstein to figure this out, but the powers that be think like the Flat Earth Society.

Anything that can publicize and get world opinion mobilized toward eliminating fossil fuels is a good effort. The condition should be named 'artificial climate change' instead of 'global warming' because the effects can be freezing of North America and Europe because of the disruption of the Gulf Stream and other changes that are happening.

We need a scientist with political skills to crystallize this issue for everyone effectively. Where's Ben Franklin when you need him?

Global warming??? Proving it is caused by humans doesn't make everything right does it? Humans can't control alot of the pollution that is occuring because it is often in the hands of someone who has more control over the situation. People who affect the environment on a large level are not going to be motivated by people who want to change things, they prefer money. Money keeps the environment ravaged. Global warming may be debateable but now it is climate shifting. Doesn't matter what is causing weather calamities because we can't change it. So nature changes it for us and corrects the problem without asking us. Nature is more powerful than us and with the exception of a nuclear war blowing the earth to bits nature will correct anything we can dish out but we may not survive what changes may be. Nature will win and we may win too in the end when only a few are left to make the real changes.

Global warming does not mean that every place on Earth will warm up ... $430 billion every year that we otherwise would be spending on wasted energy. ...

Global warming has been the subject of the most intensive, wide-ranging scientific research in the history of the world.
Wired magazine, for example, published an article calling for a 10-year, $100 billion program to move us quickly to a hydrogen economy We could pay for this partly by phasing out fossil fuel subsidies.
Virgin CEO Richard Branson has pledged $3 Billion to fight global warming.
* Billions of Taxpayer and education dollars are wasted each year in the name of global warming.

Millions of dollars have been spent researching this problem. But it's a good investment. Reducing global warming will take many billions of dollars, and we need to know how to do it right.

By the way, 200 scientists may have attended the recent meetings, but at least 2500 were involved in doing the work.

The main cause of GW if it is true, would have to be Jet Engines. A jet engine burns 2-5 tons of kerosene / hour above 30,000 ft. This produces 3.66 tons of CO2 and 1+ tons of water. There are thousands of tons of fuel burned /hr every day around the globe. Nature has no quick way to rid the air of these gases. But once it gets to the surface, growing plants and oceans take it up instantly. For that reason, fuels burned on the surface contribute little or nothing to the greenhouse gas effect. For some reason, Al Gore totally ignored these items. Probably likes to fly for his travel.

Money is not so important anymore as we are coming to the end soon the money spent to come to this conclusion is nowhere near the money spent on wars, also as once it has happened before human was on earth so they needed to know if this was caused by nature or cos of human abuse of the nature

This report will change nothing. It's all about money. The US are the heaviest polluters but are more interested in making money than saving the planet. The west are such hypocrites, they critisize countries like China and India for polluting the planet but have been doing the same themselves for decades in the name of making money. The UK government use the green issue as an excuse to tax us more - for the cars we drive to the rubbish we put out - now for flying but, why don't they reinvest this money back into green issues - because we are paying for two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan that's why.

When you have world leaders as ignorant as the US president, who's been claiming for years that there was no such thing as global warming, it takes such international groups confirming the evidence to be persuasive enough to get idiots like Bush to accept the truth.

Keep in mind, the group that met didn't meet *just* to make this announcement -- they meet every year to discuss international issues with regard to climate and meteorology. This year they just did some extra work together to confirm the results of literally thousands of individual studies that confirm human-caused global warming. That wasn't a waste of money...
And it was the kind of kick in the pants that ignorant fools like our president need.

But the part you left out is they also said even if we stopped putting out greenhouse gas it would still continue... Go figure huh, so they basically made it so they are safe either way. That money wasted could have went to research for humans to cope witht he changes instead of being wasted...
