Focus on finding friends rather than boyfriends. And really this would apply to anyone. The strongest relationship usually evolve from people who know each other as friends and then take it to another level. These people are more likely to see you for the person you are rather than you physical image.
At the same time, if you feel your weight is a hindrance to your dating potential, why not work at changing that. Improving your physical condition is important for your long term health but the side benefit is a more attractive look. Furthermore, if you start some kind of exercise program - whether it's going to a gym or just getting out and walking or riding a bike - you will create more opportunities to meet someone.
Personally, I can tell you I don't find over-weight women attractive, but it's not just a physical thing. When a person is visibly overweight it implies a lifestyle which may not be compatible with my own. I'm not exactly an athletic person myself, but I'm not a couch potato either. And I do attempt to have a relatively healthy diet.

No its NOT all good. Obesity is an epidemic in this country. Put down the HO HOs and BK and McD's, start working out lose the big rearend and gut, then suddenly you just might become doable. Sorry it wasn't the answer you were looking for but its damn true.
Otherwise, you are destined to become one of the crazy cat ladies on YA for life.
