How do you know that God is not a imaginative, inventive story by some brilliant person? Hogwarts isn't real.

I did not used to think so Tiffany then this happened to me.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

As long as you have faith in God, God does exist. To some people it might be blasphmey that you compare God to Hogwarts; but to others, it's probably because you know no better. God exists in everything we do. It's when you decide not to take that bus, because something kept preventing you from it, and the next thing you know, the bus was in a an accident. If you pray, get down on your knees and pray, ask God to show you the way, you will find the God listens to you and will start showing you things that you can never imagine. The Bible, written by humans -- no doubt about it, it was/is a rule book for ALL humans to follow; even today it still works and you know what it's way better of a read than Rowlins! Give it a try you'd be surprise, and by the way when amazing things start happening to you .. remember it is GOD! Be blessed and continue to ask questions, it's the best way to develop your mind!

I just know deep down and the Bible proves to be true. The prophecies there have come true and I get answers to my prayers that cannot possibly be coincidences. You should read this book by Betty Eadie called Embraced By The Light. If you want to know the meaning of life and why bad things happen to good people, you wanna read this book! She gives you a look at God from a different perspective and you will have no doubt he is real.

Yes, God does exist. I know that people say he doesn't because God is supposed to love everybody. He does. The people that say he doesn't exist beause nothing good ever happens to them. Well Go d cant do everything for everybody. So you know what he made? Freewill. You are responsible for creating your own opportunities.
Go out side and tell God to speak to you and see what happens. Pay attention to everything that's happening.

Of course, the Bible wasn't written by a joke author like JK Rowling.

Also, it's up for you to decide. If you get your answers from someone other than yourself, that is sad.

Also, this is an invalid argument as your trying to compare a person to a place. To make it valid, I would suggest saying "Harry Potter is not real" ;)

Yes, the bible is backed up historically, archaeologically, goegraphically and scientifically. Read "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey for starters which will show you mathematical codes contained in the bible that no man or computer could do. Peace :-)

If you do not believe in God you are right. If you believe in God you are also right. For the unbeliver there is no God and no future past death.

For the believer there is a future in the presence of God. Take your pick. Choice is yours.

Without God, you have absolutely no ability to explain how you are even here. Without someone stepping in from outside this universe, this universe can only wind down into entropy. It could never produce more order than it already had.
