Some people associate being "sensitive" with being, sort of, girly or feminine. Thats not necessarily the case, and the textbook definition for "Sensitivity" is: "The capacity of an organ or organism to respond to stimulation."

Many people in our society are very sensitive, they just don't realize it. Even the hard asses that get very mad and flip out easy are extremely sensitive, hence they are responding quickly to some sort of stimulation, but they might not understand themselves. Its good to have highly developed senses, but in some cases, the exact opposite might work alot better. Heres an example: There is a dense group of nerves in the shin, and it can be very painful to be struck there with great force. In Muay Thai Kickboxing, some of the fighters actually have these nerves surgically severed, or they might continue to kick something over and over until the nerves are pretty much dead. Sounds like a waste of time to me, but as a sport combatant, that is a case where having dead senses is better.

It's both negative and positive depending on the type of people you hang out with.
Some people will feed off of your sensitivity to get what they want from you.
Others will accept & understand the sensitivity and treat you like a decent human being.
Just be careful.
