In my opinion, Christians terrorize non-believers with images of being tortured for eternity. Has there ever been a case where a person has sued a christian for causing them mental anguish?
It would be an interesting case because the plaintiff could presumably have their psychiatrist testify regarding the damage done by the defendent and the defendent would e left to try to prove that hell exists.

Please note that I would not be able to file such a suit because I have not suffered any such harm myself. (Althouth my point remains that christians terrorize non-believers with an unproven hell).

LOL And the defendant would pull out a bible and say, "See, it says so right here!"

Hell is for children. Children like toys. Hell is a toy.
I wish children could sue their parents for emancipation due to religious persecution. Now, that can probably work out as they are not able to protect themselves by leaving to avoid the hellfire and brimstone. Their parents can corner them with that conversation several times a day. I wonder how many cases of depression in children have a relationship with the inescapable barrage of illogical tripe their parents feed them about (insert deity here).
Should say, a sixteen year old, be admitted to a hospital for a failed suicide and they tell the doctors it was because of the attempted religious indoctrination they have suffered, thay may perhaps have a case for emancipation or placement in foster care. Indoctrination attempts against children seem eerily like mental and emotional abuse. Is there a case?

Sueing and getting somthing for sueing are two different things. So you were told the truth and did not like it. Big deal. What is that worth in dollars. The big Zero. Sure you could be stupid enoof to get a psychiatrist to come to court. I would just get two to denouce him. Then you could pay from all of them.
Here is a fact we have a right to teach on the bible and our faith and it is protected in the constituation. So your suit has a snowballs chance in hell of ever seeking the light of court. Because you are going to have no grounds from the suit and when you site a cause of action, the other lawyer is going to site case law and it will be thrown out. So sue away, if you like wasting your time and giving your money away.

There was a movie with Billie Connolly a few years ago called "The Man who Sued God", where the guy sued the church in its capactiy as god's representative here on earth. A damn good movie.

Technically you can sue for anything and everything.
But remember the court of law is withheld by swearing on the bible. Law is written based on the 10 commandement to begin with. So will you try and sue the entire Judicial system therefore? ;-)

It's kinda hard to sue a religion... Because things go much deeper than the Catholic church.
