You could use any of the ones you mentioned. Mac & Cheese does not have to be made with elbow pasta

I prefer elbow myself. The spiral will hold the sauce, but I'm a traditionalist! And,by the way, try adding a little bit of dijon mustard to the sauce. Yummy!

i love almost all macaroni and cheese, but the shell or the spiral noodle is the best. mmmmm now i am hungry. :)

I think that they should make macaroni noodles in the shape of baby seals. It is much more humane to bite them than to club them, right.
