Possibly Hydrocodone. Generic for Vicodin. I would suggest calling the pharmacy that you got it from.

You should have gotten a pamphlet or brochure with the Rx when you got it filled at the pharmacy. The paper may be stapled to the bag the bottle was in. This should have a chemical name and brand name of the drug on it.

If you can't find this paperwork and this is a recent prescription you can call your doctor's office or pharmacy and explain that you've forgotten the name of your medication, and ask them to look it up in their records.

You could also dial the number on the label for the pharmacy's automated refill system - most places have this now. After enter the Rx number and some other info the system will confirm the type of prescription (for example "30 day supply of naproxin sodium 300mg") This will work better if you are ready for the refill though!

Good Luck.

The label should say the name. If you're not sure, call the pharmacist.
