My fourteen and fifteen year olds go to bed at 9:45pm on school nights. They have 15 minutes to read then it's lights out at 10pm.

As long as he or she can get up in time for school probably 9:30 or 10:00 on weekdays is OK. A little later on the weekends.

10 sounds pretty good. My parents didnt set a real time for me or my bro at that age - I was in a lot of advanced classes and the work kept me up too late to set a time, and my brother just cant hang. He couldnt stay up past 10 if he tried lol.

On week nights my 14 yr old son is allowed to stay up to 10:30 unless I see that he is starting to have problems getting up in the morning then I have him go to bed sooner. On the weekends though, he stays up usually until somewhere around 11p-12a.

Depends on what time they have to get up for school, but I'd say around 10-10:30.

At 14, i let my daughter choose. She learned that the later you stay up, the faster morning came. They have to be responsible. 14 is a good age to teach it.

When I was 14, my [arents let me decide my own bedtime because they figured I was mature and responsible enough to do it on my own. I appreciated my new freedom and did not take advantage of it. Personnaly, I would say 1030 because that is the time i gave myself. ...and I wouldn't let my kids decide for themselves like my parents did for me.
