hell is made up to scare people into religion, just like heaven is made up to entice them.
And it seems to be working very well...
Please read The God Delusion; you'll understand what makes religion works, and want nothing to do with it. email/IM me if you don't have a copy handy.

No, I have not been to Hell, although a job I had once seemed like hell. Satan is playing a trick on people. He has some convinced that there is no hell, so just go on and believe any way you want, do anything you want, cause this world is all there is. A fairly good description of Hell is Psalm 88.

Hell can't be a good place. That's in its definition. Whatever is torment, life with your ex, watching Brady Bunch re-runs, or having your butt in a bucket of boiling brandy, an eternity of that is Hell. In the same way Heaven is a place where you get an eternity of good stuff. It's in the definition. Originally the job of door-man and bouncer for Heaven was Satan's. He was God's original Quality Control officer. Then St. Peter got the job and Satan got the job of policing the riff-raff in Hell. No one has been to either place of course, they don't exist. When you're part of a theocracy like the one depicted in the Old Testament these ideas are good for keeping the public in line.

Hell is a family reunion in North Dakota. The reunion is held in the boonies. You have no vehicle to escape. The weather vacillates between freezing cold and Hideously humid. There is no cable. Only a fuzzy Local channel from a city know as Dickens. There are bugs everywhere. Even in your bed. The hot tub is full of mud from the kids. There is no import beer. Only Luke warm domestic called Keystone...You also get to share your room with three flatulent men. If this was Satan's plan it was a good one and it cost me two-grand to be there.

Just to give you an example of hell on earth. Try not being able to pay your credit card debt, and other debts because of some unforeseen accident which cause much suffering and no financial relief. Let the IRS send you letters and call you and they all want what you can not give to them. then tell those going through this hell on earth that there is no such thing. and by the way ,if you think people are out to help you through the hard times, guess again, they are out to get what little you have left for them self.

There is a book called, A Divine Revelation of Hell, you should read, its a true account from someone who went in spirit and came back to give an account. There is a video from TBN by a Doctor Rawlings called, To Hell And Back, about several people who died briefly and saw hell and came back to tell the horrors of it. Check these out.

I believe what the Bible says. In the end, Satan and his followers will wind up in the lake of fire. Burning but not burning up, forever. I'll stick with obeying God and learning to be like Jesus.

God could be the one playing the trick. Maybe we're all being scammed in a galactic real-estate scam, and at the moment god's winning the PR campaign cause he's got a better marketing department.

Are you talking about my marriage to my ex-husband?
Seriously, I know of hell from what the Bible says. Yes it's real. No, it isn't a good place. No, I haven't been there, nor do I plan to any time soon, thank you very much.
