It is a city that never sleeps, you will have the best of times, just look after your personal things, not saying there are sticky fingered folk about but in big crowds you never know what might happen, however have fun, the fireworks are some of the best in the world

Only factories, offices and schools are closed. Many shops remain open and most of the restaurants, bars and clubs operate like normal. HK rarely slows down for anything.
The only time HK went dead was when the SARS epidemic hit about 9 years ago.

Definitely! This is like the best season for all Chinese people! Unlike in America, the stores and everything in HK are open almost all the time during the holidays! Enjoy your stay!

Depending upon where you'll be there'll be multitudes of people, but it'll be a party-like atmosphere. Bars, restaurants, clubs etc will be open. Have a great time!

bras, restaurant, clubs are open regardles which day of the year. no worry adn enjoy it as muhc as possible. the hotel may be costy but eveyrhting will go on sales. it is our Sales season on CHinese New year. ;)
