I don't know by whose authority but a woman in California OKed the sale...and I don't know who died and made her Queen of the Gtech Lottery World...

Gruppo Lottomatica, an Italian gaming company, bought the game manufacturer Gtech. A lottery did not buy it. I don't know who that woman in California is but companies are not sold because someone OKs it - they are sold because someone paid enough money. Since Gtech is in Rhode Island and Gruppo Lottomatica is in Rome there doesn't seem to be a California connection. As far as gaining a chokehold, the new company will have the head of Gtech as its CEO and the former head of Lottomatica is not a manager any more..
