Where can I find a good site to chat to others with epilepsy? (That is free and has UK members?) Also, I have never come across anyone with the SAME type of epilepsy / side effects as me and feel quite singled out, any good links for that?

In time, with help from the medical profession, you will find out what triggers an episode. Everyone has their own triggers, my Brother found that being cold and hungry could set him off whereas a friends brother was set off when he became too hot, so there's no hard and fast rule. Diet, drinks (particularly Coke & junk food etc) lack of sleep and being stressed could all be factors. Maybe keep a diary handy and record the kind of week that you've had will give you some indicators as to just what the trigger points for you are. Vital that you seek medical advice and stick to the medication and you can lead a normal life, Julius Caeser managed it! Don't be down, there's lots of help available, well done for facing up to it and best of luck, Jules

Hi, I've never met anyone when I've been in hospital who's got the same pattern overall. But maybe you have some rare form. Have you attended hospital for monitoring? They may be a good source of a local group?

Good luck! Rob
