the important thing to ask is, do you think you have a problem? What is it that makes you feel you can't get through an evening without a drink? If you really are concerned, have a look at

Getting help and support doesn't mean you're an alcoholic, but it may be the way to stop yourself becoming one.

you would crave the drink if you went a few nights without, that means that you have a problem that you need to tackle, although most alcoholics will deny they have a problem until very advanced. do yourself a favour and knock it on the head now, save a lot of heartache.

Most people who drink are alcoholics! You dont need to be sitting in a doorway drinking meth's to be an alcoholic! How long could you go without a drink then? We all have our drinking habits quite extreme in general? Why do you drink? These are all relevant Questions as to are you an alcoholic!!

I don't think you are an alcoholic but it could be the beginning stages of something. As long as you keep it to a couple a day I dont think you need to worry. If it were me I would make myself go 7 days without drinking just to be sure their are no strong cravings, urges... but you know your own body.

An alcoholic has physical symptoms when they go without drinking. The most comman is the shakes.Hands shake real bad. There is a difference in alcoholism and just a bad habit but the habit would probably turn into the physical need.So my answer is you do not sound like an alcoholic YET!

It sounds like you could be. At least you are willing to admit the possibility and that is a big plus for you. Why not see if you can get some help and stop since it is very hard on your liver not to mention your whole body..

Could be. If you said "I never go an evening..." it wouldn't be so cut and dried. But you said "I can't go an evening..."
I'm sorry for you, I like a drink now and then, but mostly like my brain clear, so don't do it much. Every day - blimey - all those calories, man!

I think you have a drinking problem. Whether you are an alcoholic or not is another question.

98.9% of all GP`s are alcoholics, so it must be beneficial to drink excessively. The more you drink the less chance you have of seeing a Doctor.
