Good Luck. How would they determine who to charge and sue. The Bible has been edited so many times, and there is so many different versions, it wouldn't make one iota of difference if gays edit and publish another version anyway. Just another brick in the wall.

No, I do not think gay people should file a law suit against the Bible. I am fairly understanding of the gay community but I would have to stand against that one. The Bible is not to be touched. Listen I was a divorced woman and at that time all I heard was how God hated divorce. So, I know somewhat how you feel. But that does not make it right to change scripture. Nor do I believe in changing our history books to be politically correct. We are all sinners saved by grace, accept it and move on.

It's entirely appropriate to file a suit for discrimination when it occurs, but asking that a book be edited to conform to modern ideas of morality and civility is beyond the scope of the courts.

No one can change what the Bible reads, but we can and should compel people to obey modern laws. One can believe whatever one wants, but one cannot use those beliefs as an excuse to discriminate illegally.

Gays are never discriminated in the Bible. Sodom and Gommorah is not necessarily about being gay but the abomination lied on the abuse of strength and power of man over the weakest of their fellow men. And since real women were considered weak and of lesser priveleges than men, strong men treated the weaker of men like women.Just the same as what most inmates does to the newcomers and the regulars who have their weaknesses inside the prison cells in our modern times. God's anger in Sodom and Gommorah is not just on gay activities which have been blown out of proportion but the real issue then was all kinds of wickedness and criminalities were present in that place that no one had already paid honor and respect to the God who have created them.
In every war among the Jews, soldiers were required not to have sex before every battle so that their strength and purity as soldiers of God is preserved. And since there is possiblity that man may spend there time longer in the battlefield without women, it has to be made sure that their urge must have no such activities even among man to dishonor their mission for God. It is not any man's sin to be gay but it is consider an abomination to cater or take advantage of one's weakness.
Also the Jews at that time was building up a nation, so they needed every man to have each a woman to have child or children to raise a family. Anyone with physical deformities and abnormalities were considered as cursed by God according to their leaders. It may or may not be true but it is necessary during the times of uncertainties for people always at war with their neighbors to put those with defects including the old and disabled ones to places that will not weaken their defenses. That treatment became normal even when their city was no longer at war and that became part of many superstitions.

Lawsuit??? you have got to be kidding. The book is around for over 2000 years and you want to file a lawsuit?!!!
If anything the bible could be written to suit anyones needs... but this then would be a great deception to those who desire to know Gods true Words. The 'new' bible would then therfore be a cultic bible... changed words.... You see God is the same today, yesterday, and tomorow.... this can not be changed...
To change His Word would be a lie.

Very interesting, considering that King James (who ordered the King James Bible) was gay. See the attached.

How absurd. Your question assumes that everyone believes what the bible says. Sorry but the vast majority of the world does not.

Those who believe in it should, by all means, follow it. What they should not do is write laws that force everyone to live by it whether they believe in it or not.

Seriously, would you want to be forced by law to live by the rules of a religion that you do not believe in?

No silly, they shouldn't. They could go write their own, though. They do whatever they want anyways.
