Religion influences politics.

Because, at the end of the day, those are the things that define us as human beings. Politics try frame our place in society, while Religion/Science try to frame our place in creation. I can't think of anything more relevant or exciting to fill my time with.

1) It's the religion and spirituality category.

2) It's much more important AND engaging than sports, celebrities, tv, movies, music, or any of the other small, trivial, pointless things that clutter our minds too much as it is. Don't you ever get tired of never pondering the things that actually matter?

Because they are interesting topics, and everyone has different opinions so it makes for interesting conversation especailly if everyone keeps it civil.
