Yes my boyfriend and I of over 3 years took a break for almost a month. It gave us time to think, re look at everything and realize where the other person was coming from. After that our relationship was stronger then other. The break did not mean, dating other people or sleeping with other people just time away from one an other.

It may. It just depends on why the person wants time off. Sometimes, the person may use the time apart to think and may help them to miss the other person or it may help them to realize that they don't miss the other person.

Good luck!

in my opinion no all that does is give you more time to decide its easier w/o them... if you are in love and truely commited it is hard its never like they show on tv where its all lovey dovy and if you have a problem its funny or y ou fix it in a 30 min show.. marriage and commitment is very hard work and you have to work at it daily and taking time off is a cop out. if its really worth saving then fix it together...

i would say no. if you love someone you don't want to ever have time off.... in fact, you would go to the ends of the earth to keep from taking time off.... ps.... if your "other" wants "time off" they are breaking up with you

No, these never does any good, trust me I have learned from expierience that my BF tried to say this to me but I ended up just breaking up w/ him b/c of it. "time off" means damn I am getting sick of this person, maybe if I don't see them I'll get back to liking them without hurting them. Everybody knows what this means therefor they know you are sick of them.

Not that I've heard of . . . if you need a break then it sounds like it's time to call it quits.
