The once saved always saved has been a false doctrin taught by the church
and is not taught in God's word the Bible.

Jude 5, " I desire to remind you, though you were once for all fully informed, that he who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those
who did not believe."

Matt 24: 13, " he who endures to the end will be saved " ( So a person's final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus.

Phil. 2:12, " As you have always obeyed, so now, not only in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." ( This was addressed to the Holy ones at Philippi, as stated in
Philippians 1:1. Paul urged them not to be overly confident but to realize that their final salvation was not yet assured.}

Heb. 10:26,27 " If we sin deliberatly after receiving the knowledge of the truth,
there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearfull prospect of judgemt, and a fury which will consume the adversaries. " ( Thus the Bible does not go along with the idea that no matter what sins a person may commit after he is "saved" he will not lose his salvation. It encourages faithfullness. See also Hebrews 6:4 -- 6, where it is shown that even a person anointed with holy spirit can lose his hope of everlasting life on the soon to become paradise earth. Dan 2:44, John 5:28,29, Isaiah 45:18, Isaiah 65:17 - 25.

Hope I have been of some help.

Sincerely yours,

Yes I do believe He can But we must choose to except His death for our life, even though I know He is alive and sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven,He put to death the flesh because the flesh represents sin, The HolySpirit raised Him from the grave flesh and all because death could not hold Him because He Jesus was without sin,Jesus was born of the seed of God not man so He Jesus became our sacrifice the son of God,He made a way back to God the Father through His death so we can have that relationship with Him once again before sin came in because of satan which is the serpent in the garden who lied to man and said that we can be like God, that is the way lucifer which is satan fell he was angel of God but he tried to be like God and fell his pride cause him to fall. There is so much to say if you want to talk more about this IM me from my avatar.

Salvation

Definition: Preservation or deliverance from danger or destruction. That deliverance may be from the hands of oppressors or persecutors. For all true Christians, Jehovah provides through his Son deliverance from the present wicked system of things as well as salvation from bondage to sin and death. For a great crowd of faithful servants of Jehovah living during “the last days,” salvation will include preservation through the great tribulation.

(Matthew 24:13) 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.

Once a person is saved, is he always saved?

Jude 5, RS: “I desire to remind you, though you were once for all fully informed, that he who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.” (Italics added.)

Matt. 24:13, RS: “He who endures to the end will be saved.” (So a person’s final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus.)

Phil. 2:12, RS: “As you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (This was addressed to “the saints,” or holy ones, at Philippi, as stated in Philippians 1:1. Paul urged them not to be overly confident but to realize that their final salvation was not yet assured.)

Heb. 10:26, 27, RS: “If we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.” (Thus the Bible does not go along with the idea that no matter what sins a person may commit after he is “saved” he will not lose his salvation. It encourages faithfulness. See also Hebrews 6:4-6, where it is shown that even a person anointed with holy spirit can lose his hope of salvation.)

Yes, God is quite real and he communicates to us through miracles and the written word. It is about as real as real can get. Why doesnt the sun burn the earth up like a piece of paper? Its hot enough to. God made the universe in such a way that we humans can procure and live in the climate. Our real life begins when we leave this one. If your a non believer, then just try talking to God. You will get a chilling feeling when you acknowledge his preseance. Thats your soul talking to God and getting that piece of eternal insurance that you cannot buy at Geico. Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved.

The Right to Enter Paradise

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

According to old testament God would only save you if you sacrificed an animal to Him.

Then he sent his only son to be tortured and killed.

If you don't believe this, God will let Satan throw you in Hell.

Can we be saved from such a cruel God? I'm not sure but I hope so.

Answer to your first question: If i am in trouble, yes i believe in being saved... thought that might have been obvious...

second quesiton: I do not believe in God, therefore i do not believe that God will be the one saving me from a flood, or a fire, or a crazed lunatic with a gun to my head.

Of course. I do not believe it is as simple as some people think. Some say the all you have to do is say the you believe in Jesus or that faith alone will save you.

I say that is hogwash. Jesus never taught that. He taught that we need to repent of our sins, that we need to love one another, He commanded us to become perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect. That sounds like work to me. Through the things that we do we prove our faith. You can't repent once and say that you are now perfect. You can't love one person one time and say that you are perfect. It is a process. Just like everything else in life, you have to learn these things. You have to develop and strengthen your faith on a daily basis or you run the risk of losing your faith.
