I just married in November. My wife is Vietnamese and was a virgin until after we were married. I was not a virgin, but was faithful to her from the moment we met and kept her virtue intact until after we were married. We did have moments of weakness just before we were married. Ironically, the weakness was brought on by my wife.

She wanted to "give it up" a week before our wedding. Already being sexually active, it was very difficult for me to resist. We came to a compromise though. Let's say that we "passed out the presents, but didn't unwrapped them" until after our wedding.

I had thought that she would regret it if we had "unwrapped the presents" before our wedding. Looking back at it now, I don't think it would have mattered. Waiting until after were married was really senseless because we love each other intensely and are committed to each other for the rest of our lives.

Yes, there can definately be a moment of weakness married or not. There is always going to be an attraction to many other people throughout anyones life. Married or not you can't help being attracted to certain people and if the timing and the mood is just right it is easy to fall into each other. It's like the whole world dissapears and it's just you and this other person completely caught in this moment. Sometimes you can't prevent it. It just happens. It doesn't mean that they are in love or even want to have any relations after that. Most of the time it's regretful because it hurts people that were never meant to be hurt. If they were still going to do it after marrying their traditions then it sounds like more than just a moment of weakness. It sounds like they really love one another. Or maybe it's just a sex thing.

It very possibly could happen to any unmarried couple, but the best thing to do would be to strengthen your resolve to abstain before any such situation might arise. And, of course, avoid putting yourselves in situations where you might have a moment of weakness.
